7. Base Line

 22-Jan-2023

Home practice range set up yesterday, I used old arrows to mark distances - 10, 20 ,30, 40 & 45m. The Bunnings Butt turned out to be very well compressed, the arrows stuck 3/4 of the time with some hangers, otherwise the arrows just bounced off and I don't think the double wool pack bags helped.

I thought I'd better have a shot or two before shooting the outdoor range today. All walk back or walk in, no set distance stuff but it is definitely required.

Can't see the arrow markers very well so I put a red spot.

Shot OK at the range, a stark reminder of what I need to work on. Gaps, form, following shot sequence, other than that though....
Not unhappy with the score but plenty of room for improvement. Thanks to CJ, TJ and AP for their company, some laughs and a nice relaxed day in the bush.

For the data heads that may be interested.
FL14 Tally:
Shot - 42 arrows @ home
        - 55 arrows @ outdoor shoot
Total - 97
Casualties - 0 - two feathers to be replaced
Distance - 4.78km with 6941 steps, grain of salt with that info as it's based on a free app on the iPhone only.
