12. Onto Mt Clay

*How to navigate instructions below post.

After Ballarat it was time to starting thinking about the next competition. Mt Clay

This is a flat course in an area of bush land surrounded by Heywood's Rec Reserve, some paddocks, the MX and Pony club. The courses are set out in a herringbone fashion which makes it quite a social shoot as you pass other groups during the entire time we are shooting, this makes for some friendly banter and being able to check how others are going during the day. Really looking forward to this one.

Practice leading in.

03/03 - 50 arrows @ the home range. Walk back and focusing on Group 1 and 5, my reasoning is group ones should be a given for points, although I've washed plenty over the years and if you can nail a score on a couple of group 5's then that may just be the difference in the end.

04/03 - only 30 arrows as we had to head off to a Basketball comp in Camperdown.

05/03 - Outdoor comp - 52 arrows. Still missing some shots I should be getting. Frustrating sport this archery!

The Otway weather has started to turn, a couple of windy and wet days meant the bow stayed on the rack and I had a chance to glue on some tips and fletches that were lost in action.

08/03 - 50 arrows walk back all distances. I'm mostly happy with my heights, need to work on the side to side, particularly at 30m+ . I can only blame the wind for so much.

09/03 - Indoor comp, ABA this week as a warm up to the weekend - 25 arrows. The indoor curse continues, couldn't get the distances right with one shot out of five in each of the Group 5, 4 and 3 targets

The crew were abuzz last night with most guys heading up today ( Friday) I'll pack the car later and leave first thing in the morning tomorrow.

FL14 Tally:

This period  -  13 arrows @ home
                    -  25 arrows @ indoor range
                    -  52 arrows @ outdoor shoot
2023 Total Arrows - 1265

Casualties - 1

how to read...

I have been asked for some basic instructions on how best to navigate and read this in it's entirety from a phone. I have an iPhone so I imagine the other brands will be similar.

Since you're reading this you already have hit the link I posted. The problem with this blogging platform is you will always see the latest post first. If you want to read from the start and in order, you'll need to do a little bit of navigating which is a bit of a pain. Here we go.

Tap on the arrow in the top left where I have added the light green circle

Three horizontal lines should appear in the same spot, tap that.

Then hit the arrow marked 1. which will be facing up at first and will show a drop down list, Hit December marked 2. then you will see the below screen. Scroll down to the bottom and click to post 1. numbered for ease, then hit
READ MORE, once you've read the post, you hit the arrow in the top left corner as above and follow the process again until you've caught up or hit the arrow, scroll down to the bottom and hit MORE POSTS (see below) and scroll down to the one above the last one you read...

Clear as mud? It's harder than it needs to be...Much easier on a desk or lap top if that's how you roll. If you follow the blog, you'l get a notification each time I post something, you will have to have a google account or gmail..or just move on with your life as it's not the most riveting read anyway.
